“Have We not made for him two eyes, and a tongue and two lips?”
(Qur’an, Surah Al-Balad, 8–9)
Educational Goals for Reflection and Contemplation
1. Divine Creativity in Creation
-
Children reflect on how the tongue was perfectly designed for speaking, tasting, swallowing, and expressing.
-
They discover that this small organ contains an intricate system of muscles, nerves, and glands.
-
They observe the amazing diversity of tongues among animals as a sign of God’s perfection.

2. Divine Mercy
-
The tongue is a gift of mercy — it allows humans to express needs and emotions.
-
God’s mercy appears in kind words that bring peace and joy.
3. Gratitude
-
Children learn to thank God for the gift of speech and communication.
-
They use their tongues for good words and remembrance.
“O Allah, make my tongue rich with Your remembrance.”
Activity for Children
Game: “A Word that Changes the World”
Goal: To discover how one kind word can change hearts.
How to Play:
-
Give each child a card with a kind word (Thank you, I love you, Well done, Alhamdulillah, Sorry...).
-
Each child acts out a small scene using that word.
-
Ask: “How did that word make the other person feel?”
-
Write on a poster:
A kind word = A happy heart + A great reward
Scientific Extension:
-
Show pictures or short clips about animals’ tongues.
-
Ask: “What amazing design did you notice?”
-
