Planet Earth
The Earth is one of the nine planets that orbit the Sun, which itself is just one of the approximately 100 billion stars in our galaxy—the Milky Way. Earth is the only planet that is known to support life. It is able to do so because it is the right distance from the Sun. If it were any nearer, conditions would be too hot for life; any farther away and it would be too cold. In addition, the Earth is the only planet known to have liquid water in large quantities. Its atmosphere helps to screen out some of the harmful radiation from the Sun, and also shields the planet from impacts by meteorites. The Earth consists of four main layers: an inner core, outer core, mantle, and crust. At the heart of the planet is the solid inner core, with a temperature of about 7,000°F. The heat from the inner core causes material in the molten outer core and mantle to circulate in convection currents. It is thought that these convection currents generate the Earth's magnetic field, which extends into space as the magnetosphere.

The first Earth Day was celebrated in 1970, when a United States senator from Wisconsin organized a national demonstration to raise awareness about
environmental issues. Rallies took place across the country and, by the end of the year, the U.S. government had created the Environmental Protection
Agency. By 1990, Earth Day was an event celebrated by more than 140 countries around the globe.
Our planet is an amazing place, but it needs our help to thrive! That's why each year on April 22, more than a billion people celebrate Earth Day to protect the planet from things like pollution and deforestation. By taking part in activities like picking up litter and planting trees, we're making our world a happier, healthier place to live.

On Earth we run. On Earth we play. On Earth we swim. On Earth we build. On Earth we grow. Earth always gives us more. from food, to water to air. But It would not be possible without Allah who made Earth livable for Human. In the book, Super Interesting Facts For Smart Kids: 1272 Fun Facts About Science, Animals, Earth and Everything in Between, it shows that Earth is located not too close to the Sun which makes it not too hot or too cold for human to live in it.
Glory to Allah the best of Creators.

Naming the Earth
The most recent history of the Earth is the best known, because the younger rocks contain abundant fossils and there is a fairly complete rock record. We know much less about the first 3,000 million years because the rocks contain few and only primitive fossils, and many of the rocks have been metamorphosed several times. Also much of the rock record is either buried by younger rocks or has been eroded to make sedimentary rocks.
The Age of the Earth
The Earth is believed to be about 4,550 million years old. This is supported by the age of the oldest rocks on the Moon, and by dating meteorites, which suggests that our Solar System itself may be about this old. Precambrian time includes major events like the origin of the first life, the growth of the continents, the beginnings of plate tectonics, and the buildup of atmospheric oxygen.
The Precambrian Shield
Sir William Logan (p. 40) realized the Precambrian rocks he mapped in the Canadian Shield were enormously old. He called the peculiar structures in these rocks cryptozooans , meaning hidden animal, because these rocks were thought to predate the existence of life.

-Earth's Atmosphere is made of a gas called Oxygen.
-The large Amounts of water helps you stay alive.
-Oxygen is the gas that makes us breath.

Even if it didn't wobble, the Earth wouldn't stand up straight on its axis. It is constantly leaning, or tilting, at an angle that slowly varies between 22.1 and 24.5 degrees. But without the steadying effects of the Moon, the Earth would seesaw dangerously back and forth.

Trolltunga is the Earth's tung. There are many tales about trolls in Norway. These mythical beings are said to turn to stone in the sunlight, so they live in gloomy caves and only leave after dark. In one such tale, a foolish troll doesn't believe that he is in any danger, to prove it, he sticks his tongue out at the sun... allegedly forming Trolltunga

Earth orbits the sun in what astronomers call the goldilocks zone where just enough sunlight reaches the planet to make conditions just right for life.

Earth – our home planet – is the third planet from the Sun, and the fifth largest planet. It's the only place we know of inhabited by living things. While Earth is only the fifth largest planet in the solar system, it is the only planet in our solar system with liquid water on the surface. Just slightly larger than nearby Venus, Earth is the biggest of the four planets closest to the Sun, all of which are made of rock and metal.

Earth hosts a stunning variety of life. NASA’s research has shown that in order for a planet to support life as we know it, three pillars are needed: liquid water, energy, and nutrients. Earth has just the right amount of all three. Together, tiny microbes and insects, towering trees, and elephants represent a range of life that forms the foundations of healthy ecosystems. As species interact with each other and their environments, they create complex webs of relationships that sustain all life on Earth, including our own.
In Islam, the Earth (Al-Ard) is considered a sacred gift, a designed abode, and a trust (amanah) provided by Allah to humanity. It is described as a "verdant" and "beautiful" place that serves as a vital, temporary home for humans, designed with delicate, precise, and balanced ecosystems to facilitate life.
