Allah, the Most High, says:
“Whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it,
and whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it.”
(Surah Az-Zalzalah, 7–8)
Allah the Most High has spoken the truth.
More than 1400 years ago, Allah mentioned the “atom” in the Qur’an, at a time when humans had no means to see it!
Today, science has discovered that the atom is the smallest unit of matter, containing a precise and fascinating world invisible to the naked eye…
Educational Objectives
1- Allah’s mercy in His creation
• The child reflects that Allah created not only the vast universe, but also the smallest things like the unseen atom.
• They feel that Allah’s mercy includes everything, even the smallest details.
• They understand that Allah knows everything, even what we cannot see, and that no good deed is ever forgotten.
2- Allah’s greatness in His creation
• The child realizes that everything around them (air, water, their body…) is made of atoms working in perfect order.
• They understand that this precise system reflects Allah’s infinite power.
• They learn that something extremely small can hold great energy and power.
3- Gratitude for Allah’s blessings
• The child feels grateful knowing their body is made of billions of atoms working in harmony.
• They learn to thank Allah for hidden blessings essential to life.
• They understand that even the smallest good deed has value with Allah.
Amazing facts about atoms
Did you know?
• Atoms are so small that trillions of them are needed to form something visible!
• Most of an atom is empty space… meaning matter is not as “solid” as it seems!
• Electrons move extremely fast around the nucleus, like a tiny solar system!
• Despite its size, an atom can release enormous energy (like nuclear energy).
This shows that Allah created a wondrous world within what seems simple…
Reflective Activity:
“The secret of the atom in my hand”
Objectives
• Feel Allah’s greatness in small things
• Understand that Allah sees everything
• Develop gratitude
Materials
• A handful of soil or sand
• A magnifying glass (if available)
• A small cloth
• A candle or soft light
Steps
• Give each child a handful of soil and ask:
“What do you see? Soil… but is it really simple?”
• Use a magnifying glass:
“Do you see the grains? Imagine inside each grain there are even smaller things… called atoms!
And Allah sees them all… even smaller than that!”
• Dim the light and light a candle:
Ask children to close their eyes and hold the soil:
“Allah created this soil… and created you from it…
He knows everything in you… even what you cannot see.”
• Ask them to place their hand on their heart:
“Your body has billions of atoms… all working together…
Who organized them? Allah!”
• Ask them to whisper:
“Thank You Allah for everything… even the small things.”
Final question
“If Allah sees the smallest thing…
would He forget your good deed?”
If Allah cares about something as small as an atom…
how much does He care about you?
